My name is Mariusz Sołtysiak.
I live in Poznań. I am an architect by profession, but I enjoy drawing and painting the most. As a kid, I read comics and at some point I started drawing them myself. Later, during my studies, I learned various graphic and painting techniques, learned the principles of descriptive geometry, and became more comfortable using perspective. Apart from architectural design, I was involved in advertising graphics and interior design. As a graphic designer, I cooperated with, among others, the Ministry of National Education, I joined the CD Projekt team and took part in its productions. Currently, for several years, I have been painting in watercolor. The knowledge I acquired during my studies is useful to me today, especially since the topic that appears most often in my works is the city with its architecture and inhabitants.
My paintings are in private collections in Poland, Germany, France and Switzerland.
